Today we resume our countdown to Te Aka Mauri and what a great place to start, at the entrance.When entering Te Aka Mauri, you will enter through a mahau in Jean Batten Square which has been carved by local artist Albert Te Pou (you can see the mahau taking shape now in readiness for its big reveal in February). The shape of the mahau is in the form of a waka and it features eight poupou to represent the eight beating hearts of Te Arawa. #TeAkaMauri #Countdown #SeeYouThere
